The Scoville Blues Band is a high energy blues band with many different influences to help define their style. From contemporary blues rock to traditional Texas and Chicago styles to funky New Orleans blues the band has something for everybody.
Based out of Bucks County, Pennsylvania the band has been playing bars, restaurants and festivals in the Philadelphia / Tri-State area for over four years. Along the way they've played the Lehigh River Blues Jam in 2008 and 2009, the Bensalem Fall Festival, the Olde Kings Blues Jam in Swedesboro, NJ, the Valenzano Wine Festival in Shamong, NJ, the Vietnam Vets Memorial Festival in Falls Township, PA, the Burlington Jazz & Blues Heritage Festival in Burlington, NJ, and the benefits for bluesmen Lonnie Shields and Georgie Bonds.
Other highlights include opening up for rock legend Dave Mason at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, NJ in November of 2008 and opening up for Chris Cain at the Hill Theatre in Paulsboro, NJ in May of 2008. On June 28, 2009 the band played at the Fourth Annual "Taste of Philadelphia Festival" at Penns Landing in Philadelphia, PA, and then on April 28, 2010 they were back at the Scottish Rite Auditorium to open for blues great Walter Trout. More recently Scoville Blues played at the State Street Blues Stroll in Media, PA on June 12, 2010 and the Riverfront Blues Festival in Wilmington, DE on August 7, 2010, at Natali Vineyards on January 22, 2011, the Paoli Blues Festival on October 1, 2011 and the Anglesea Blues Festival on July 14, 2012.
This five piece band features [updates coming soon] Dave Piersig on lead vocals and percussion, on lead guitar and vocals, on bass, Jim Bowman on drums and percussion and Dave "Bags" Badgley on harp, sax and vocals. With scorching guitar, dynamic harmonica, passionate vocals and a driving rhythm section Scoville Blues are a band you shouldn't miss!
